Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Dennis Larios spent most of his time in local coffee shops people watching and day dreaming about one day becoming a successful artist. However, life took a different path as he began a thriving career as a professional fashion model which gave him the opportunity to travel much of the world. One day, while sipping an espresso in Italy, he had a revelation that he needed to follow his true passion, art.

Years later, Larios returned to Los Angeles where he currently resides to pursue art full time. However, early on, because of financial burdens, Larios couldn't afford to buy art supplies which constantly inspired him to look for readily available items around his house like cardboard, paper, styrofoam and even window screens found in the alley. However, it wasn't until one morning after making a fresh cup of Joe that Larios thought of adding coffee to his list of unconventional art supplies which birthed his unique style and the "Coffee Lounge" series.

Larios continues to combine his love for delicious coffee and creative expression to create unique aromatic pieces of art with rich shades and textures that can only be achieved by using real coffee and coffee grounds.
